The role:
Bunker Supply is looking for a Technical Project Manager who can work closely with a multi-disciplinary team of product development experts. This person will be responsible for managing all aspects of the product development process: developing sound execution strategies, ensuring the Bunker design and engineering team stays on schedule and budget, close management of supply chain operations and contract manufacturers, customer engagement directly with key government stakeholders, and product co-development management with external teams. This is a role that utilizes expertise in interpersonal skills for team management and extreme organizational skills to manage multiple projects and initiatives at the same time. Bunker Supply is a rapidly growing company so the ideal candidate will be instrumental in managing the competing priorities that is the essence of product development.
What you bring:
Education in engineering or a closely related field.
3+ years of Project Management experience in a complex and fast-paced environment.
Strong knowledge of the entire product development life cycle from requirements definition to mass production and every step in between.
Experience in managing interdisciplinary teams, both internal to Bunker Supply and external with development partners, having worked with complex electro-mechanical assemblies.
Strong foundation in first principle thinking.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Keen ability to motivate the team to perform top-tier work Proactive, self sufficient and initiative-taking.
Comfortable working within a rapidly changing environment and objectives.
Experience with Contract Manufacturers (CM) for BOM development and program management.
Experience with project management software such as ClickUp.
Previous experience working in the technical industry like outdoor/sport, consumer electronics, software, or defense space preferred but not required.
Experience in developing and managing Technical Data Packages (TDP) at various stages of development. Commitment to quality and superb attention to detail.
How you will contribute:
Develop detailed Product Requirements Documents (PRD), outline project scope, set and manage the timeline, determine key milestones, map out detailed project tasks, and manage deliverables both internally within the Bunker team and externally with the customer.
Work closely with the Bunker Supply design and engineering teams to communicate timelines, milestones, and setting priorities within the team across multiple projects.
Articulate and document requirements definitions from solicitations, translate them to the Bunker team, and develop sound proposal writing strategies with task allocation to the team.
Communicating constantly with customers and CMs to efficiently translate project details, timing, and budget.
Manage TDP’s: BOM, CAD, 2D Engineering Drawings, CMFG, QC docs, etc.
Actively manage CM’s with production related tasks, timelines, deliverables, quality, etc.
Manage CM discovery/vetting to further bolster the supply chain. Attend meetings and maintain a close connection with the management team, and stay on top of quickly evolving business objectives with a flexible mindset.
Assist in Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) development and execution.
