Cooling System for Heat Injury Prevention
ACCLIMATE
Heat injuries have resulted in at least 17 service member fatalities and costing over $1 billion from 2008 to 2019, particularly affecting recruit trainees and combat specific occupations. ACCLIMATE provides an active cooling solution that enhances warfighter performance and reduces heat-related injuries in extreme environments.

In-field testing demonstrated an average internal vest temperature drop from 87.75°F to 55.75°F.

Universal size fits small, medium, large, and extra-large body frames. The pack can be configured to be worn attached to a plate carrier or as a regular backpack by simply reconfiguring the straps, allowing the cooling pad to maintain contact with the user's body.

The ergonomic cooling pad effectively dissipates heat from the body. Constructed with durable 210D nylon impregnated with thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU), it is capable of withstanding temperatures up to 212°F.

REC was designed with a Radial Spline (RASP) Attachment Platform that allows it to be used in conjunction with an assortment of compatible adapters. This allows for mounting on PALS webbing (MOLLE), belts, straps, and waistbands (among others).

The MicroUSB charging tether provides a positive lock to the REC, preventing inadvertent disconnection and ensuring the goTenna radio remains continuously powered. Built-in strain reliefs add durability and longevity to the tether.

Created with impact-modified polymers and designed with load-absorbing geometry, REC affords additional drop and impact protection to goTenna Pro X mobile radios. With heat and UV stabilization additives standard, REC is designed to survive the harshest conditions.
